Artist Bio
Daisy Muff was born in Basel, Switzerland. In her 20's she began learning the fine art of painting on porcelain in Lausanne, Switzerland. She studied with local masters specializing in classic Swiss Nyon designs and other European china painting designs and techniques. In 1967 she moved with her family to the United States where she continued her work in painting china, first in the New York/New Jersey area. Then in the mid 80's she moved to the Midwest where she continued her work. She has now established her studio in the Kansas City area. Since the early 70's, Daisy Muff has been teaching out of her home to small groups of students interested in the art of porcelain painting. She also gives seminars in various parts of the country. Her work became known through contacts and friends as well as through winning awards in art exhibits. Porcelain art connoisseurs are collecting her work worldwide.
